An anti-Islam subway ads viciously vilifying our nations and categorizing Muslim people as savages. These subway ads are among a series of repulsive activities unleashed periodically to set off fierce outrage and deadly riots in the Arab World.

Far from freedom of speech, expression or the press, it is critical to recognize that these constant repulsive moves Against Islam are part of a growing islamophobia trend developed and manufactured to promote a wide-ranging antagonism against Islam. Therefore, it is essential to conduct a more civilized and agreeable response that would echo widely and represent the true ethics of Islam. Anger is no longer an option.

When do we draw the line between resentment and rebellion, seems to be the everlasting difficult task Muslim population fail to conquer as a quest, or adhere to as a principal. Killing, burning, rioting or sabotaging are irrational behavior that would reflect nothing but irrational intolerance and will outweigh the disadvantages and further categorize us into the same old stereotype of terrorism. Let alone the fact that we placed ourselves in a trial where the defendant and plaintiff switch seats and the verdict was wrongly placed.

Therefore, a better understanding of the nature of both civilizations is ought to be taught. And as the hybrid of both cultures, it is our role as Muslim Americans to deliver profound education and better acquaintance with our culture to the western civilization. It is imperative to clarify to the west how the preaches of Islam handle the sacred entity of Allah and all his prophets as opposed to freedom of speech, and how Muslim populations consider declaring a resentment to the disrespect as part and parcel of their loyalty to their religion as opposed to the western culture that considers critique and analysis as part and parcel of their entitlement to their opinion even if it was of the holy and the sacred.

Nonetheless, a more effective method to fulfill this mission is an amiable call to encourage non-Muslims to get close. Grant them free admission to our annual conventions invitations to get inside mosques and listen and observe our Gumah (Friday) prayers, send our Shieks and religious leaders inside temples and churches to explain the preaches of Islam. Assemble educational conferences allowing pundits of both sides to interact and exchange knowledge and cultural background.

meanwhile, and in a more mature and rational approach, to defend the injured and heal the wounded, we should take some concrete measures to voice our concerns. For instance, reaching out to our Muslim congressmen, present resentful statements to Washington, organize Million-Man-March, boycott products, create Facebook boycott page, and send heavy-scale tweets. As simple and modest as they sound these strategies will definitely guarantee us a dignified lawful protest.

Islam the 14 centuries old faith and religion is too solid to be shaken by the follies of some fame seekers or hatred advocates. And a small number of protestors should not define the entire Muslim population of over a billion, not even the media that never respected or presented us accordingly in the first place. Some people believe that freedom of speech ends when it steps on somebody’s toe, and my personal opinion is freedom of speech ends when it demeans and defames the Sacred.
