Religion and Love to Achieve World Peace

Religion and Love to Achieve World Peace“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.” William Gladstone.

Currently we have too many religions in the world. Some of the people from their religious faith believe that their religion is superior to others leading to conflicts and terrorism globally. People must learn that all these different religions are different means to reach God.

Mahatma Gandhi once remarked, “The essence of all religions is one. Only their approaches are different.” It is unfortunate that people started looking at the differences instead of looking at the similarities. It has become a cause for concern globally as some people resort to violence and terrorism based on their religion.

Hence, it is essential to pioneer a common religion for the entire humankind to bring people into one platform to promote universal brotherhood to achieve international peace and prosperity. Can we name that religion as ‘Religion of Love’ which every human being craves for?

People who believe in this religion must love all people across the world irrespective of language, region, race, caste, creed and community. It must be based on four pillars: truth, non-violence, empathy and compassion. Additionally, this ‘Religion of Love’ must be based on the concept of ‘love your mother but don’t hate another person’s mother’ and on the principle of ‘respect to all, disrespect to none’.

Life is an Echo

We must understand that life is an echo. If you give the best you get the best. If you love others, others will love. Here goes the famous story on ‘hate and love’. A boy often complained to his mother that he hated people. Mother advised him to go to the top of the hill and shout the same. The boy started to shout, ‘I hate you’. He heard the response as ‘I hate you’. He shouted louder and the echo got louder.

Having vexed, he returned home and informed his mother that he heard the voice ‘I hate you’. Mother smiled and advised her son to go again and shout ‘I love you’. The boy went to the top of the hill and started to shout ‘I love you’. To his surprise, he heard the same response. He shouted louder and the echo got louder. He was excited, returned home and informed the same to his mother happily. The mother responded that life is an echo. If you do good, you get back the good. If you do bad, you get back the bad.

Therefore, you must always do good to get good as what goes around comes around. Similarly, people across the globe must shed their cynicism and pessimism and start loving people with a positive attitude. In fact, attitude makes a huge difference. Hence, people must improve their attitude and love people around to enable the world to live with lots of love.

Believe in ‘Religion of Love’

Albert Einstein once remarked, “All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree.” Hence, all religions are branches of love. Here is how you can wed and spread the new ‘Religion of Love’:

See good in others. Improve your attitude to make this world better place to live. Grow as a global citizen with a universal mindset. Treat all religions as equal and respect them. Remember, no religion preaches violence. It is the misguided elements who spread wrong messages in the name of religion to create ill-will among individuals. Above all, we must remember that given the choice between sword and spirit, it is the spirit which is always stronger than sword. Hence, develop the spirit and promote the religion of love to promote world peace. Above all, follow the sage words of Lao Tzu:

“If there is to be peace in the world,   There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,   There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,   There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,   There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,   There must be peace in the heart.”

  1. Let us create a common religion connecting entire mankind to achive international peace and prosperity

    Great article with insights.
I am follower of Prof. M.S.Rao

  2. we must belive in the relition of love as presently people fight in the name of religion globally. Here is my endorsement about this legend:

“Prof. M.S.Rao trains from the bottom of his heart. He is highly passionate about students and wants them to dream and achieve big. He wants them to be great citizens. His sessions have a huge impact on the audience as he walks to his talk. He uses humor aptly to draw the attention of the audience during his leadership training programs. He knows how to grab the attention of all students and sustains the momentum until the end of the session. He has spontaneity and speaks as per the situation and as per the maturity level of audiences. He has total clarity in his vision and mission. He implores us to be incurable optimists. I am his die-hard follower.”

  3. It is essential for global citizens to develop broad mindset to replace religion with love. As Prof. Rao said life is an echo. If you give best you get best. If you give worst you get worst. Hence, always give your best to prove yourself and make others happy and to make a better world.

  4. It Will be Excellant Approach for sure. Why should not extract some one all the “similarities” (only) of all the religions and named only one religion “Gloabl Religion or Earth Religion or Eco-Religion” or Religion of Humanity.

  5. Very interested article. Yes, we should create a new religion that can include every one in the world without any discrimination, inequity or judgment. But the question is: HOW?

  7. This article on RELIGION AND LOVE is really thought provoking concept which is now needed to grow the world peace.I hope this article of you will bring changes in the humankind and change this globe into a universe of peace.

  8. It is true that life is an echo. If you love others, others will love you. You get what you deserve, not what you desire. Hence, have a right attitude to love people. Stay away from individuals and religion that encourages violence. When we create a right ambience we will be able to replace religion with ‘LOVE’.

The article is highly thought provoking and inspiring to follow the ‘Religion of Love’. I request Prof. M.S.Rao to contribute more such articles in the larger interests of mankind.

I want Prof. M.S.Rao to become an international peace ambassador to promote peace and prosperity. We all Indians and peace loving people across the world will be with him to support his endeavour.

In fact, globally some people are becoming narrowminded. They must be made aware of broadmindedness and empathy to make a world free from violence.

The four pillars of ‘Religion of Love’ is truly amazing.
